About
the Artist
Lynne Hartman, a native
Texan,
has been a resident of Huntsville, AL since 1987. She spent part
of her childhood living and traveling in Europe as an Air Force
brat. After graduating from the University of Texas-El Paso,
Lynne and her Army husband were stationed in Japan, Greece, and
Stateside. She credits a college humanities class with kindling a
passion for art collecting that led to a desire to become an
artist. Her first classrooms were major art museums.
Eventually she took college art courses. Her style and subjects
are heavily influenced by her travels (which she and her husband
continue today), especially those of Japan where
simplicity and essence are esteemed elements in art.
